Baisakhi Celebration
The school celebrated Baisakhi with zeal and fervour. Starting from morning assembly to the theme – based activities, the day was full of joyous learning from children. A lot of theme based activities were planned for various grades with a motive of helping children learn various aspects of Baisakhi. The themes were chosen were “religious, cultural, environmental aspects and other harvesting festivals” celebrated across the country.
HAWAN CEREMONY
On the first day of the new session 2023-24 on 3rd April 2023. Havan ceremony was conducted to invoke God and seek blessings. Principal ma’am Mrs. Hema Dhingra, Vice Principal ma’am Mrs. Lata Yadav, staff members and students were sitting in the hawan ceremony. The Hawan began with the chants of vedic Mantras and culminated with an Aarti. In the end the Prasad was distributed to share the blessings gained by the Havan ceremony and to further prosperity in everyone’s life.
All were happy and enjoyed the beginning.
Mind Wars Quiz Competition
Mind wars Quiz competition was promoted by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, was organized in the School on February 13.
The event began with a written test to select twelve students for the stage round, the qualifiers being Sanjana(IX), Daksh(IX), Vinay(IX), Vivek (IX),Mehak(Vlll), Deepika(Vlll), Ruchika(Vlll), Varsha (Vlll),Deepanshi(Vll),Drishti(Vll),Kanika(Vl), and Upasana(Vl). The stage round, conducted by the Quiz Master Mr.Chanchal, comprised four rounds featuring questions on a wide range of topics such as Current Affairs, Entertainment, History & Politics, Science, Geography, Business & Commerce, etc. The audience too was involved with some questions posed to them.
The following emerged as the winners of the keenly-contested quiz:-
First– Sanjana(IX B) &, Upasana(VI)
Second– Mahak(VIIIB) & Kanika(VI)
Third–Ruchika(VIII B)& Drishti (VII)
Winners were given away the certificates. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
Republic Day Celebrations
Our school celebrated the 74th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal. A plethora of activities were organised to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students.The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolor flag by Mrs. Hema Dhingra, Principal of the school, accompanied by the Vice- Principal Mrs. Lata Yadav.Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.
The students presented soulful songs and dance to celebrate the monumental day.
The children came dressed up as different freedom fighter for the role play activity to remember the freedom fighters who laid their lives for the motherland .All the students celebrated this day with great gusto towards their country and its constitution .The Principal in her speech briefed the students about the significance of each colour of our national flag where in, Saffron stands for Courage, White stands for Peace and Green stands for Prosperity. Overall, it was a fun filled learning and enjoyable day.
HAPPY FAREWELL!
As customary, our school bid a fond farewell to the outgoing batch of 2022-23, on 4 January, 2022. The event was held at Jaipur- the pink city with the fervour and energy of the tradition. It was also an educational tour to Jaipur, an extremely popular tourist destination of Rajasthan for two days for students of both class Xl and Xll to bring them close to the roots, reduce stress of everyday life and to impart knowledge. On reaching Jaipur, the students headed for the famous Amer Palace and Jantar Mantar. In the evening, the Girls and Boys of the current batch of class Xl 2022-23 organised the event in unison, to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors.
The pick of the evening was a dynamic dance performance by the juniors enthralling the gathering. The girl’s squad led the pack of Punjabi dances giving a fast beat to the whole show. A performance by the boys dancers of class XI pepped up the mood.
A round of games to entertain their seniors was organised by the students of class XI. Noopur of XII then presented a poem to thank the juniors and School itself for the treasure chest of memories she was carrying away.
Next it was time for assigning the titles, which is perhaps the most exciting part of every farewell ceremony! The titles for students of class Xll were announced followed by a nostalgic speech by Muskan of class XII-Arts, who thanked the School for all that she had learnt so far.
Principal, Ms. Hema Dhingra announced the winners of the titles of Mr and Ms RLS and Mr and Ms Gentleman/Lady of the Evening. The event culminated with Principal, Ms Hema Dhingra addressing the gathering and wishing the batch the best for their exams and the future ahead.
In nostalgia and reluctance, but with hope and aspiration, we bid adieu to the outgoing class and wished them luck for all they set out to do. We look forward to seeing them back at School from time to time.
Their experience of the forts and palaces was very rich and educational. Students
returned from the tour with a lot of happy memories and knowledge with them.
Christmas Day
“Make it a December to Remember “
Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrated it with the same fervour spreading the message of love and joy among our children. So Christmas is celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm and zeal. The kids are most excited about the celebration. Students brought decorative items like stars, balloons, toffees and Centa’s socks etc. They decorated the Christmas Tree and after that different activities conducted like carols and dance with their peer group. In the last toffees were distributed by the Santa in each class.
ANNUAL SPORTS FIESTA
Rao Lal Singh Public School, Sidhrawali celebrated Annual Sports Fiesta 2022 on 52nd Memorial Day of Lt Sh Rao Lal Singh ji on December 7th, 2022.The programme commenced with the auspicious light of the ceremonial lamp by honourable chief guest Shri Satya Prakash Jrawta ji, Member of Legislative Assembly, Pataudi, Gurugram.The occasion was graced by Major Ashok Yadav, President of Rao Lal Singh Shiksha Parishad, Mr. R.S. Yadav,Gen. Sec, Rao Lal Singh Shiksha Parishad, Dr. Vandana Gandhi, Principal College of Education,Mrs Hema Dhingra, Principal of Rao Lal Singh Public School and Ms. Lata Yadav, the school Vice- Principal. Parents of all the students were also invited on this day. Our school ground was completely decorated with flags and props.
The event started with a welcome song recited by the school choir.The school vice principal, Mrs Lata Yadav welcomed the chief guest and the other dignitaries.

accentuating the progress of the school
throughout the year. The school Principal in her address congratulated all the proud scholars for excelling in
academics and co-curricular activities. The Chief Guest Shri Satya Prakash Jrawta ji, Member of Legislative Assembly, Pataudi, Gurugram encouraged the students by his enlightening words. He congratulated the school principal and her team for organising the sports fiesta.
A prize distribution ceremony was conducted to felicitate and recognize the talent of students in various
fields like Academics and Sports. Beautiful cultural programme of dance and drill was presented by the students of different classes.
Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by the school sports captain Sonam. She
acknowledged the efforts of students, teachers and supporting staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence.
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
“Every child is a different kind of flower and all together makes this world a beautiful garden.”
Enthusiasm and festivity marked the Children’s Day Celebration at RLSPS. Recreational picnic was arranged for all the students on 14th November . The venue was Suraj Garh Farms, Gurgaon.Students were all set to have a fantastic day-out with their friends and teachers. The travel gave some personal time for the students to be with their friends reaching the venue, a perfect breakfast was awaiting. The students were then divided into smaller groups as there were many activities for them like the ride – bullock cart, zip line, water games like the jet shower, rain dance and the pool. The magic show left the children wondering how the tricks are performed. Some adventure games like the rope walking, indoor play area coupled with nature walk admiring the birds like ostrich, parrot and smaller animals like rabbit, added on
to the thrill of the day.
The students were served with delicious lunch at the right interval and the special day
ended with some snacks for the students. The students were very thankful to the principal for arranging such a memorable and funtabulous day-out. All the students reached home safely but with a lot of joy and excitement.
A LEGACY OF GIVING
Following the footsteps of legendary Rao Lal Singh ji, School endeavours to imbibe the social values of gratitude and giving among its children. With this motto, twice a year, the school organises different programs for special and underprivileged children. Various other activities such as ‘inter-house Rangoli-making’, candle and ‘diya’ decoration, paper decoration, paper lanterns, best out of waste creations, flower arrangement, and card-making contests were organised in all the classes
On this Diwali, children strived to bring joy to the lives of special children by donating generously . They visited their special home. Our students distributed sweets, chocolates, burgers,and everyday things as a token of love to all of them. Thanks to the students, parents and teachers for their most generous,continued and vital support. We could not do it without their support. The morning spent with them brought a ray of light in their lives.
We, at RLSPS, believes that no one is inconsequential—even a small difference is still a difference.
Teachers’ Day
The staff members of our school went on a picnic to Vishal Garh Farms on 5th September located at Gurgaon. Apart from relaxation and enjoyment the picnic also aimed at building up team spirit among the members of the staff. The journey to the farm was an enjoyable one, due to the singing in the bus. After the breakfast, the teachers had enjoyed the various activities like bullock cart, camel ride, tractor ride and adventure activities like comando net and Burma bridge.
Lunch was a welcome diversion. Post-lunch, the entire group met again in a hall to indulge in games. The winners won gifts. It was a day filled with lots of laughter, music and dance. The games organised were indeed fantastic. On this occasion the teachers were given titles and few teachers were honoured for their significant contribution in different domains. Each and every staff member enjoyed the day to the fullest with sumptuous lunch and an environment filled with love and good cheer.
The principal speaking on the occasion took pride to express her appreciation & gratitude to all the teachers for not only teaching students but being their true mentors and role models. Though the picnic was done in a day, the memories will linger for a long time.
LATE. SH. RAO LAL SINGH BIRTHDAY CEREMONY
On 2nd Sept 2022 the school has celebrated the 114th Birth Anniversary of late Rao Lal Singh ji. So, to mark the
significance of the day the students of our school arranged a remarkable Tree Plantation Programme in the school. A special rally was also flagged off on the day to Village Sidhrawali with the aim of spreading awareness among the masses about the need to make earth green and beautiful. The students of our school gifted the planters in a well-organized manner. The students from all classes participated in this programme. This programme created a great enthusiasm among all the students and also among guardians and the general public. The school has had a long-standing tradition of serving the area. One such drive was held last year, during which COVID Warriors were honoured by the students.
This programme was followed by the HAVAN YAJNA CEREMONY at school. The sprawling campus of the school reverberated with the pious sounds of Vedic hymns as the school celebrated the 114th Birth Anniversary of late Rao Lal Singh ji. President- Maj Ashok Yadav, Gen. Sec -Mr. R. S. Yadav, B.Ed. principal -Mrs Vandana Gandhi, Principal Ms Hema Dhingra, Vice principal- Mrs Lata Yadav and all the teachers and the administration staff members of both the institutions marked their presence and prayed to God for the sacred soul. The sacred Havan Yajna Ceremony was conducted in 11 Hawan Kunds. This ceremony was conducted by the students and the class teacher was the main Yajamaan . A soulful ambience was created all around on the school premises. Addressing the present gathering, the Principal, Mrs. Hema Dhingra expressed her elation at this extraordinarily special moment of the school. The ceremony came to an end with the distribution of sweets.

The ceremony began by singing “the scouts and Guides Prayer”. The school principal briefed about the roles and responsibilities of the troop. She emphasised that “Scouts and Guides should be disciplined. Develop leadership qualities, co-operation and service mindedness”.

Krishna Janmashtami is a festival mostly celebrated by the Hindus every year. It is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna was born to protect the world from evils and to remove all the difficulties. Rao Lal Singh Public School celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. The children were dressed up in colourful attires of Lord Krishna and Radha with beautiful smiles on their faces. The event started with various dance performances by tiny tots and special assembly depicting Krishna Leels was presented by class 8A students. A religious and spiritual aura mesmerised everyone with holy faith and devotion.

Like every year this year also our school celebrated Independence Day on 15th August 2022 with great joy and pump . The sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the people as India celebrated its 76th Independence Day this year.
In the starting the presence of gleeful gathering, the national flag was hosted by the principal ma’am. The program started with tiny tots dance and different types of mesmerizing performances were presented by the primary and senior students. A drama was presented by senior students in -depth ‘How we got freedom’. In the last medals were distributed to the students who got prize in” Yoga competition”. The program ended with a motivational and patriotic speech by principal ma’am.
HAR GHAR TIRANGA
As the nation is set to celebrate 75 years of independence from 13-15 August under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’
On 10th August our School students along with teachers marched the streets of neighbouring villages – Bhora Khurd,Turkapur, Rathiwas, Dinokari, and Budhka carrying a tricolour, banners and chanting slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai”and Har Ghar Tiranga.’ Over 200 students took part in the campaign.
The students tried to create awareness among the public of the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme of hoisting the national flag on top of each household as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
MOTHER’s DAY
“Mother is the heartbeat in the home; and without her, there seems to be no heartthrob.”
On the occasion of Mother’s Day tiny tots of RLSPS shown their eternal love and affection to their mother by actively participating into card making activity, photo frames making and writing qualities of their mother on cut outs. Their faces were glimpsed with happiness and charm. It was a fun filled day.
LABOUR DAY
“Nothing will work unless you do.”
May 1st is observed as an International Labour Day. It’s a day to mark the importance, sacrifice, to raise public awareness about workers’ rights as well as to recognise their accomplishments. To praise the sacrifice of our community helpers our school Pre- primary and Primary kids did marvellous activities to celebrate the day. Kindergarten teachers remarked students about the importance of helpers in our daily life. In class II students through captivating slogan praised labours. The students of class III through charismatic role play spread awareness about their dignified role. And the activities doesn’t end here class V students made handmade beautiful cards for the school helpers and made them feel dignified. They also shown that with out their efforts and assistance the society is incomplete. It was a wonderful experience for all kids on special day.
Hobby Club
Our school organised hobby classes every Tuesday and Friday from 8:15 to 9:15 (Zero period) for students. It increases happiness in hanses work performance and reduces stress. Students participate in hobbies to enjoy non study related activities and stimulate creativity.

On every Tuesday and Friday all children from class 1st to 9th will assemble in the Assembly ground for morning assembly and then all concerned hobby incharges will take the students to their allotted places attendance to be maintained by the teacher in charge in the given notebook.
VACCINATION DERIVE
In the view of covid-19 pandemic our School organized a vaccination drive for 12 to 14 years old on 18th April 2022 under the directive of State Government and CMO, Haryana.
Type of vaccination- Corbevax
Timings- 10:00 a.m.
Age criteria- Born between 1st January 2008 till 17th April 2010.
Important instructions were given to the students
- Parents have to fill the Google form or sent a written consent stating their willingness/ unwillingness for the vaccination.
- Student should carry a copy of Aadhar card
- He/she should take breakfast before coming the school.
- second dose only after 28 days.
TRIP TO “GULMOHAR RESORT”, SARISKA
Our school organized to days trip to Gulmohar Resort Sariska for the farewell party for 12th class students. We began the trip on 9th April at 8 a.m.. Had breakfast at “Bahroad”. Left for “Pandu Pole” in Sariska Tiger Reserve, very famous “Hanuman Ji” Temple. After done with prayers and blessings we moved towards final destination that is “Gulmohar Resort”. After reaching resort we had our lunch with which was delicious. Children were assigned their respective rooms and instructed about the details of farewell party. Sharp at 8:00 p.m. we all gathered in the Hall of Resort for the farewell party. Everybody enjoyed the party. Party was started with Tilak ceremony. Principal Ma’am and Vice Principal ma’am along with teachers put the Vijay Tilak on students. Students Expressed their gratitude towards their beloved teachers through poems, songs, fashion show, games and dance were the main events. The party came to an end with the touching speech or principal ma’am Mrs. Hema Dhingra, expecting the success of the students in each and every sphere of life. It was amazing experience for all of us. In the morning before the breakfast everybody enjoyed swimming. Then having a small photo session and moved towards buses.
We reached school at 2:30 p.m.. It was successful and beautiful trip. Everybody enjoyed a lot.
