CLAY MOULDING

“Clay modelling is a great way to develop a child’s fine motor skills, imaginations and spark creativity.”
Clay Modelling is a highly creative activity that is enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Keeping this in mind the school organised a “Clay Modelling Competition” on May 4,2022 for the students of Grade 6 to 9th.
It was a perfect platform for the creative minds of the children to develop their imagination and spark creativity. The hands worked smoothly and effectively to fulfil their heart’s desires and fantasies. They pounded, squeezed, rolled and blended the clay to make some unique and amazing creations of fruits, flowers, birds, butterflies, trees, water animals, houses, etc., and displayed them with pride.
This outstanding sensory activity enhanced dexterity, gross and fine motor skills and helped to boost the self –confidence of the students. The finished product at hand was a treasure to cherish for the adolescents.
Overall it was an amazing experience and a great way to develop imagination and sparkle creativity.

SPELL BEE COMPETITION

We are proud to have successfully carried out the Spelling Bee contest with the students of grade 3rd to 5th and 6th to 8th.
The children were able to demonstrate their talent and mastery of the English language through their participation in this event, whose purpose was to serve as a means of encouragement to continue learning and to do so in such a way that they can develop in a more holistic way, not merely academically.
In order to choose the contestants, the teachers assigned to each of the grades conducted preliminary contests with each group. Candidates were given a list of words to practise beforehand.
Looking at students’ performance in the classroom, the teachers determined which candidates would have better chances of winning the actual contest. As a result of this first phase of the contest, teachers were able to choose an average of 12/15 students per group.
As regards the main event, it took place in the school’s auditorium on 26th July 2023.Total 3 rounds were conducted, eliminating the least scorers. The competition was intense.
At the end of each event, principal Mrs Hema Dhingra congratulated all the contestants and a group photograph was clicked.

INTRAMURAL COMPETITIONS

Sports play a major role in shaping the personality of a child. Rao Lal Singh Public School conducted the Inter House Kho-Kho (Boys), Badminton (Girls) and DodgeBall (primary) Competitions. Students participated in a sportive spirit with a great zeal.

The day witnessed two extremely exciting and cutthroat matches of Kho-kho between the Senior teams of the four Houses.The first match was played between Azad House and Subhash House and the second one between Patel House and Tilak House. Both the matches were a brilliant show of energy, determination and passion. All the players put their best efforts to make their team victorious. Patel House Boys emerged as the winner of the match. The winning team and the participant teams were cheered by the staff and students as well.

In the Inter House Badminton Match for girls, the girls proved their mettle as they performed splendidly at the Competition. The teams played with confidence and impressed the audience with flair and competence. Azad and Subhash House won their respective games and will now meet each other in the finals.

In Dodgeball, it was good to see such a spontaneous exhibition of technical skills from our kids. Patel House scored the maximum points and emerged winners.

INTER HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION

INTER HOUSE DEBATE COMPRTITION

It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it.

Our school organized an inter school debate competition on 19 July, 2023 on the topic ‘Every Citizen Should be Mandated to Perform National Public Service’. Students from all houses participated in the competition. Esteemed judges of the competition were Mrs Hema Dhingra, Principal and Mrs Lata Yadav, Vice principal of the school. There were in total 12 participants,

All the participants were well prepared in presenting their opinions. All the participants spoke logically in a coherent manner. Their eloquent speeches won much applause from the audience.

Suman from Tilak House, won the First position, Deepika from Patel House stood Second and Kavita from Azad House secured the Third position. Furthermore, Deepanshi from Subhash House won the title of Best Interjector.

The judges, in unison, praised all the participants and wished them good luck in future. The programme ended with a grand success and was appreciated by one and all.
